Janitorial Tasks and Responsibilities
The purpose of this document is to clearly outline the roles and responsibilities of the janitorial services provider contracted by Sima Space. The janitorial provider is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall presentation of our coworking spaces, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for all members and visitors.
1. General Responsibilities:
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure that all areas of the coworking space, including offices, common areas, kitchens, and restrooms, are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
- Stock Supplies: Regularly check and replenish cleaning and sanitary supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to cleaning practice
2. Tasks every visit:
- Vacuuming and Mopping:
- Vacuum all carpeted areas, ensuring no dirt, dust, or debris is left behind.
- Mop all hard floors, ensuring they are clean, dry, and free from streaks or residue.
- Trash Removal:
- Empty all trash bins and recycling containers in the offices, common areas, and restrooms.
- Replace liners in trash bins and ensure trash is disposed of according to local regulations.
- Dusting and Surface Cleaning:
- Dust all flat surfaces, including desks, tables, shelves, and window sills.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and elevator buttons.
- Restroom Cleaning:
- Clean and disinfect all restroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and countertops.
- Ensure restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies like toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
- Clean and sanitize floors, walls, and fixtures in the restrooms.
- Kitchen and Break Area Cleaning:
- Clean and disinfect countertops, sinks, and tables.
- Ensure kitchen appliances, including microwaves, ovens, and refrigerators, are clean and free from food residue.
- Empty and clean coffee machines and dishwashers.
- Window and Blind Cleaning:
- Clean interior windows and wipe down window sills.
- Check and clean blinds, ensuring they are dust-free and functioning correctly.
- Art and Décor Maintenance:
- Clean and dust artwork, wall hangings, and other décor items.
- Ensure that decorative items are not moved or damaged during the cleaning process.
3. Reporting and Communication:
- Issue Reporting:
- Immediately report any maintenance issues, damages, or security concerns to the facilities manager.
- Supply Requests:
- Notify us when cleaning supplies are low or need to be reordered.
- Feedback and Improvement:
- Regularly communicate with Sima Space management to provide feedback and suggest improvements to the cleaning process.
