In this Peer Consultation Group, we use a dialogical process called “council” to connect and form a consultation community. Council is the practice of speaking and listening from the heart. In Council, people are invited to speak deeply from their own experience and perspective and to listen without judgment, monitoring one’s emotional reactivity.
We use the wisdom of the circle to collaborate on issues about challenges with clients, the stuck places, and issues of countertransference.
In our experience council invites us to delve under the surface. We are invited to listen with our whole being to better receive both what is spoken and that which is unspoken. This allows us to respond from a place deeper than personality. The circle weaves a tapestry of community and collective wisdom that is palpable.
"I attended two meetings following a brief one-on-one with Lori and have been very happy with them. I have found her to be warm and welcoming, open and grounded, professional, not to mention a kindred spirit. The group offers a great blend of openness with structure, professional with personal growth. The philosophy, values, and practices of the container resonate with me and Lori embodies them with competence, grace and authenticity."

"This is a uniquely sacred space full of love, humility, and connection. This is unlike other case consultations that I've participated in over the years. There is something different about the way that each of us is truly invited, and sincerely encouraged, to bring our full selves to this group. I feel very lucky to be a part of this, and I anticipate forming deep connections and friendships from this circle. Thank you for the generous gift of this community."
